Well you may wonder what the application mods are actually. Well it's quite simple.

• What is an Application mod?
An application mod is a moderator who controls the artist application forums.

• What does an application mod do?
Besides moving threads from people that got accepted and rejected, we will decide whether you are qualified to be a Luminarium artist.
We don't only accept or reject people but we are also your first step into being an artist, we send you the information you need and we will update the site with new artists.
We also try to make you feel at home here.

• What to do with the answers we get?
Well you can either have one of these 3 answers, I'll explain to you what it means.
Yes: You are promoted to artist without making an application piece. Congratulations, that means we have no doubts about you.
Application piece: This means we are not sure whether your attitude is right or we have doubts about your work. You have to either make an application piece with or without a theme. If you have to make an application piece with a theme then please relate your app. piece to that theme.
No: Sorry but we feel you are not good enough (yet) to become an artist, but feel free to try again later (5-7 months)

• Does the artists vote count?
Yes is absolutely does, when we feel someone isn't good enough but the artists think he/she is, we might change our minds. And our opinion is based on the artists vote as well.

• What kind of quality are you looking for?
Sep 26th 08: We have raised our standards, please look at our exhibits to compare your work with it, if you think you're on the same level then apply!

• Why can't I read my application?
Dec 17th 08: We have made apps unreadable as we have experienced times where comments by artists/staff have been missunderstood by applicants. By hiding your application it means that we can freely discuss the application. We will send answers to applications by PM.
