Ben Proctor, Ben Mauro, and Andree Wallin (and couple others I can't remember) are artists working on this, some amazing talent in one film. Some parts from the trailer look pretty cliche, but it looks really good.

First of all the trailer does look good. Seems like a fun flick. But am I the only one who's getting a headache looking at this lousy poster? First of all the perspective... this can't be right. Secondly... mountains and rocks growing into (still standing) buildings? Seriously? And to top all that... a giant waterfall... - my god. How long would it actually take to form a rock formation/mountain of that size... couple of millions of years? And human built structures still standing? Everything in this poster doesn't make sense.

Still... the movie itself looks nice and certainly is on my radar. But man... wtf happened to good movie posters? I srsly miss the 80s and early 90s when it comes to that.

That's true, but gotta remember that it's a scifi movie and it's supposed to entertain us, not fill our head with a bunch of facts. I'm all for doing things right, but in some cases I really don't give a crap. And if we can look past it, surely they know that the general audience will buy into it 10 times more.

I kinda agree, but kinda disagree... I think the best Sci-Fi is heavily based in fact and just builds on current knowledge and thinks about possibilities... rather than just being all flashy nonsense (which while it can be entertaining, is the sort of thing that gives the genre the bad image it gets).

Absolutely. I wasn't saying it is okay to do in every movie, but every now and then I enjoy a stupid flick that couldn't be anywhere near possible. :D

The thing about facts is that they let little room in for further exploration, which is what scifi is all about. But I fully understand both sides equally.

Completely agree on that. 'Suspense of disbelief' is a necessary element in pretty much every scifi/fantasy movie or story. And if the movie or story is done right then it's absolutely not a problem. But this poster... yes it looks 'cool' and definitely 'interesting'... but still bothers me. It's just a little bit too much. And yes, I understand that most of the moviegoing audience doesn't give a sh*t. However, when it comes to posters then I wished they would at least try a little bit harder. =) Just my two cents. Like I said... the movie itself looks fun. Will definitely risk a look.

Haha, my original thought as well.

Saw the trailer nontheless and looking forward to it, and I find it awesome that Andree Wallin is one of the artists working on it.
