Spotify looks like something I'd use, too.... tongue.gif

Been enjoying me some Asking Alexandria and The Word Alive, two post-hardcore bands I just got a few songs from earlier this month. I see Sonata Arctica was mentioned earlier; the only song I ever heard from them was Don't Say A Word, and I loved one particular section so much I made it my log-off sound on my laptop - which stayed my log-off sound for three years straight before I changed it for a clip from a song by A Skylit Drive. biggrin.gif (Song: Worlds End In Whispers, Not Bangs- wonderfully peaceful and smooth song to listen to.)

Also my current playlist right now is :

Try another genres besides deathcore or another metal....

Protest The Hero - Sequoia Throne

Sounds like you've got good music going there. XD I learned how to play some of Sequoia Throne on the guitar, and yes, you know I'm talking about the wild intro! It's interesting to say the least.

I got listening to this "dub step" electronica someone posted on another site, called "Mt Eden Dubstep - Prodigy : Omen". I find it rather interesting to listen to with a surround sound system - there's a lot of bass on that thing. biggrin.gif I found it in a "party" thread being thrown for the site's new admin. One of the moderators said they'd DJ for it, and that's what I discovered from him. XD

And lastly but certainly not least to mention, Rest in Peace Ronnie James Dio. Watched some videos of him yesterday after I heard he'd passed.

I'm a big fan of soundtracks, usually when I work the music will dictate what kind of mood the image takes on, as it grows I then deliberately listen to a certain soundtrack or even a single track over and over to drive the mood of the image. Cant stand working in silence, soundtracks I listen to often are Sunshine, Moon, Man On Fire, Casshern, and many many more, mostly compilations of tracks I like.

i'm pretty much into drum n bass since i got my new soundsystem...

mgmt- time to pretend (high contrast remix)
shock one- polygon
noisia- stigma
dj fresh- hypercaine

yeah ... some badass tunes
other than that i'm going into the whole stoner rock genre...
kyuss, eagles of death metal, QUOTSA and Them crooken Vultures (which i will see live in about 2 weeks :DDDDDD )

depending on the mood some oldschool death metal keeps coming too
naglfar,
profundi,
neaera ...

best song of all times remains massive attacks teardrop

@Dawn42 Sweet, I'll be looking those tunes up. And to satisfy your stoner rock need, I suggest Baroness - I've only heard the red album, but it's good stuff. Rays on Pinion is an undying addition to my library.

@DJ Pookster Interesting diversity in musical taste as always I see! My Last.FM charts have gone exponential.... Meaning, I'm not much of a diverse music listener no more. I listen to so much post-hardcore now - but it's so good!!

I'm high-jacking your topic a little and changing it to "what your listening to right now" so just post up the song/album/artist... and keep any discusion going too by all means!
