My favorite piece ever is a romantic landscape scene titled "Syria by the Sea" by Frederic Edwin Church. The piece is currently at the Detroit Institute of Arts, where I saw it smile.gif

Well at the risk of sounding un-cultured from liking dA artists more than famous historical ones (most whose work just bores me...sorry sad.gif ) I have to say I've bought two prints from dA but I like one just a bit mor ethan the other, essentially making it my favourite art on there http://www.priteeboy.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d22ucc7 yeah, yeah - it's manga but I just love it rolleyes.gif

In case manga dosn't count I'd probably have to pick http://antifan-real.deviantart.com/art/Gra...69?q=1&qo=1 it reminds me of what I thought space was like when I was a kid, I thought you didn't have to go too far from Earth, or at least the Solar System before you started seeing stuff like that. More nostalgia comes from that since my space-phase probably peaked in my pre-teens and I did my room up all spacey, had a blacklight and everything and favoured dark, futuristic colours like purple and blue that looked awesome under that light, there was also an indoor amusement park done up the same but better - a fun futuristic setting with rides, modern music and cool lights and special effects is gold for a 12 year old biggrin.gif so that pic takes me back in many ways smile.gif

Oh, I do remembe rone non-dA artists whose work I'm fond of - Roger Dean, he does these cool surreal landscapes cool.gif

Why is delivering things by car called "shipment", while delivering things by ship is called "cargo"?

Right now i've been having a gasmic moment over this insanely over the top detailed piece of art for a couple of days: http://www.studio-aiko.com/temp/classroom/...m_sunnyday.html. So much time... I can't believe how much detail and work went into this scene. They must have an amazing computer to render this shit, especially with vray, which has no problem completely annihilating my computer.

Check out the different lit scenes too
