Something tells me that I could do that last scene in Vue 7 mellow.gif That first one was surreal, it reminded me of this one, which may not be as great, but it takes a lot for me to fave a Winter scene http://akamaruuu.deviantart.com/art/Winter-Sunset-51577763 the bright colours and simplicity look great, even though there's a bit of dirt on the lens blink.gif

While photo's are nice, I think most of my inspiration comes from video games, and not just the realistic ones either, since many of those bore because...well, they are TOO real tongue.gif I like fantasy-like art, usually with dramatic colours and details that may not even be present in a photo, even as a little kid, I'd often draw the background scenery to various Mario and Sonic games, which the graphics of those blew me away at the time laugh.gif I can't say my landscape ones are inspired from real places I've been too either like many landscape artists are...simply because I havn't really gone anywhere with interesting scenery.

Here's one which I think is good... It feels very spiritual in some way...

For nature, I really like these:

http://blepharopsis.deviantart.com/art/a-m...-class-66933502

I saw this amazing shot of a cave going vertically into a massive hill shrouded in wild jungle trees.. I couldn't find it now, but it was simply stunning. But I just hope we can preserve all this for the later generations.. I don't know how its gonna last. When I went to the great barrier reef for snorkelling/diving, I was amazed to find how many people were destroying all the coral and plants there, by stepping and resting items on it.

hmm i find that the total opposite, i find i can't design after playing video games and watching tv. You should play final-fantasy, they have such amazing artwork in it.. I always find myself leaving my player standing still to admire the envrionment and particles.

I think being outside inspires me the most. Music keeps me in focus too.

For someone who has a Final Fantasy character on their avatar on dA, I actually have played very few of the games...as much as I love the scenery, effects and character designs, I just don't have much pateince with RPG and strategy-type games and rarely see them through to the end laugh.gif But you would be amazed how even "cartoony" games like Mario still inspire me today, often trying to create realistic renditions of the stage environements that are only known by fans to look bright and cartoony smile.gif
