Anything by my boy Tulpa is gold and wonderfully inspirational to me. Very chill indie electronic sound.

Hey folks,

I'm excited to announce that I am releasing three original electronic music tracks this month, and one remix, independently and free to download, as thanks for the recent success of my Correct Me If I'm Wrong EP. The response has been monumental, and this is the best way for me to show my thanks. The downloads will become available each Tuesday from now until the end of the month via my Toneden page, so each week you'll have a new song to jam to - again, to show my thanks for the great support I've received for my music in recent times.

Before the downloads will be available, I think you'll enjoy the full stream of the remix, as it's a re-orchestration of an electronic dance song. The track in question is "The Girl" by Hellberg and Cozi Zuehlsdorff, released on Monstercat. It's a different take on the song, and took up several weeks of my time to make it just right. This will be made available as one of the free songs coming out this month.

Click the cover image below to hear the full playthrough of Hellberg - The Girl (Re-Orchestration by Clyde Machine) on Splice.

A great video!

For those who don't have 15 minutes to sit and watch, it really comes down to two things:
1. Machines/computers are impossible for humans to compete with at doing tasks that can be automated. (Computers are great at being computers.)
2. Machines/computers can learn.

This reminds me of neural networks, where a bot can learn based on its inputs, like a human can. It's powerful stuff when you can no longer define the difference between "real" intelligence, and "artificial" intelligence. Both learn, both make decisions.

Really? A company asked you to reduce the value of your time to $0, for a piece of incredible quality?

Did you ask them if they were joking? :P

Hey Lum folks! I need your help on a little song contest I'm in. Today is the last day of voting, and I'm a few votes short of the top spot.

That's where I'd like to invite you folks to take a listen to the songs entered, and vote on the one you like best. have a nice day.png

Here is the article on ThisSongSlaps.com with all three of the finalists:

http://www.thissongslaps.com/2013/10/diamo...test-finalists/

And here is the vote page, if you just want to get right to it:
http://www.facebook.com/thissongslaps/posts/599668626741277

To vote, you comment on that Facebook post with the artist name you liked best. That's all there is to it. have a nice day.png

It'd be really great if you would consider voting on mine, but all the entries are good so pick your favourite and cast whichever vote you like. :D

At the moment I'm using it as a kind of portfolio for my creative works - music, writing, and more recently some of my photos. Not sure what else I'll use it for right now, but I've been in need of a single place to put all my works for some time.

@SD That sounds like a nice Christmas to me, actually. tongue.gif
@Kilerdan Strange as it may sound, my town actually has limousines kinda frequently. Not every day or every week, but often enough that when I see one I tend not to stare long. But, that's what happens when you live in a place meant for rich old folks. tongue.gif

I purchased a website last night, but I'm still waiting for the DNS transfer to get finished so I can start working on it - until then, I can only see the parked page from the registrar. XP

Who's more excited for New Year's than they were for Christmas this year? I know I am, and can't really say why. XD

I've been inactive for a while!
Now that a dear friend has come up to Michigan from California for the holidays, I'll be even less active!

Also, I picked up a camera and am trying my hand at photography. Here's what I've got so far.

Breathe Carolina - "Edge of Heaven"
Enjoying their newest album, "Hell is What You Make It". Some of these tunes actually make me laugh, 'cause their rhythms are really fun dancy beats that I'm not used to listening to. I think it pales in comparison to their last record, "Hello Fascination" in terms of diversity and depth, but is still a good one.

It is too early to say that Libya is entirely free, but it is indeed free from the rule of Muammar al-Qaddafi.

At last, freedom fighters under the Transitional National Council (TNC or NTC) took the center of Tripoli, "Martyr's Square", formerly the Green Square, around 10:00pm Libyan time. Their internet (3G) and telephone service (Libyana mobile) has been restored, and people were celebrating in the streets of Tripoli (at least, in the freed parts). Reports are still coming on (mostly via on-the-ground Twitter accounts, therefore unconfirmed) that pro-Gaddafi forces are still approaching the center of Tripoli, and that others are laying down their weapons in favour of negotiations. Hundreds, possibly thousands of political prisoners have been freed throughout the weekend.

Woo for Libyan freedom! biggrin.gif

QUOTE (Kaioshen @ Aug 2 2011, 11:54 AM) *
Clyde, look up Mt Eden - Still Alive. One of their best IMO.

I was listening to that last week, I think. Great stuff, listening to it again now! Thanks! biggrin.gif

QUOTE (Smiling Demon @ Aug 5 2011, 12:57 PM) *
@Clyde: Its kinda fun light-hearted catchy indie rock. Pretty good tho smile.gif

Indeed, I like 'em. They're probably the one band I listen to that's just barely out of the "entry-level bands" gate, so they're unknown in the most extreme sense.

After I finish listening to Mt Eden - "Still Alive", this is up next, in all its strangeness....

Teenager - "Pony" (NSFW)

From the GTAIV soundtrack, played on Radio Broker.

Wasn't expecting the "I AM" statement up at the top. Tough guy. biggrin.gif

I love the way it's laid out. You may have discovered this already but some of the thumbnails' text is unreadable from behind on a light-coloured art piece background thumbnail. I believe CSS3 now features text shadows done via code, you may want to look into that. Besides that, a wonderful portfolio with stunning work. smile.gif
