It's a pretty good start mate!! maybe a bit concerned about the proportion of the robot that looks too big I think, but keep at it!!

not bad, the robot might seem a little big, but mainly I think it has slightly too much contrast in comparison to the rest of the piece. Keep at it tho.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I corrected the contrast value on the robot. Have a look if you might smile.gif http://ak47black.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4gfwyz

It looks pretty cool though you need to work on the values some more, the background mech is pretty much the same tone and contrast as the foreground and compared the lighter softer background structures it doesn't fit in well. Lower the contrast on the mech and lighten the mech up a bit, an easy way to do that is to select the mechs outline (Ctrl+Left Click the layer icon, not the layer name) and on a new layer fill it with the tone and colour from the background, then set to screen, or normal depending on what effect you want, then mess with the opacity till it feels like its being pushed into the background, also you can use a soft eraser to erase on low opacity some of the fill on the higher points of the mech. Values are a pain and one way I find that helps is to always have a layer at the very top of the list of solid black and set to "Saturation" layer mode, this will convert the image into grey scale which is really handy for spotting values. Foreground= strong contrast/colours, Background= low contrast/soft colours.
